Bringing New Meaning to Kiddie Cocktail

So... Parents Magazine had a little ditty about a company call Kid Kupz. They say... "This truly unique product, endorsed by a renowned pediatrician and parents alike, will eliminate the days of chasing children from room to room at the mention of taking their medicine. KidKupz™ makes taking medication a fun, easy, and tasty experience." Ummm.... ok. So for 7 bucks you can buy a box full of medicine cups with sugared rims or you can wet the rim with a lime... errr... water and dip it sugar yourself. Cheers kid!

For the Fashionista

Saw this blurb on the Today Show this morning in between my spackling and painting. At Fashionology your little fashionista can go wild designing her own gear. Or... you can take matters into your own hand and design one for them. I admit, it's fun. ✿

Lemonade!

cardboardesign is one of those stores that makes you wonder, "why didn't I think of that?" Well... someone did and apparently they are making bank. This adorable lemonade/advice stand runs a mere $92.00! Yep. You had better be selling some kick ass lemonade! Frankly, I would have drooled all over this as a kid. We set up shop whenever we had the chance. I am sure I would've made more money had I decorated this fancy piece of cardboard. Check out their site. cardboardesigns has everything from a rocket to a drawing table and chairs made out of sturdy cardboard. Yep, cardboard. Well... at least you can't get pissed when they draw all over it.

Have a Crafty Weekend!

I thought I'd share a fun site for craft ideas. Kids Craft Weekly is a great little newsletter that pops into my inbox every so often. Amber creates a theme and then creates crafts to go with that theme. By theme, I mean glitter, alphabet, etc. Some crafts are involved, but most are pretty easy. Just goes to show you how little you need to keep the kids busy.

Go Forth & Buy!

Old Navy has launched their new coupon site. It features those creepy plastic people from the commercials, but whatever. Frankly, I think they should just have a coupon and give it out, but they insist you hunt and peck for it like you've got all the time in the world. Old Navy always has good deals, especially on basics, but I like really GREAT deals. Soo.... maybe I'll find one here. Not sure, yet, but I think it's a first come first find basis. Just go there and hunt for yourself!

I ♥ Anything Wireless

This is quite cool. A WIRELESS memory card for your camera! I have to look into a bit more, but I think I'm in love. Check out all the options over at Eye-Fi.

Keep Your Germs to Yourself!

Each of the kids found a FLIPPER in their stocking this year. Flipper makes the most adorable toothbrush holders. I was a bit skeptical because of the suction cups. I don't get along with anything that has suction cups attached to it. I have to say, though, that these things stick! What makes these so great it that it's really to take out your toothbrush and put it back. You just pull it out and push it right back in. No more stuffing everyones toothbrush in a cup. Ewww... Plus, it's one more thing off the counter. Good-bye clutter.

Trashy!

Yes, I was searching for a cute auto trash can. Don't judge. Oh, and I found one. The Mod Mobile carries an unusually large selection of trash 'bags' for your car. Cute ones, no less. Sometimes I feel like I live in my car. I use my totes to try and keep things under wraps, but I have my fair share of straw wrappers floating around. We have actually set up a trash can in our garage so that I can easily transfer my trash. Sad, I know. Again, don't judge. Once I get a fancy trash bag from The Mod Mobile my car will be pretty again. Now.... which pattern do I choose?

Can You Spell CUTE?

I am a HUGE fan of MiChiMa! All things felt. I ♥ felt. I also know how hard it is to cut into tiny pieces. I made a little tooth pillow for my oldest and it drove me nuts. Who knew that crap was hard to cut? Anyway.... I think anything in this shop would make an adorable 1st birthday gift.

A Little Funk on the Finger

I'm not a big jewelry person. Never have been. Probably never will be. Every now and then something funky catches my eye. Take this ring. It's silly, but different. Frankly, it's cool. Everything at Boulder Glass Monkey is handmade in Colorado.

2.26.2009

Mmmmm....

Now why the heck don't they sell cute stuff like this in the baking aisle? The ladies over at the Goody Blog posted this yesterday. They are in some kind of cupcake frenzy over there. But, aren't we all? I love cupcakes! No knife required. The Cupcake Kit comes with everything you need to crank out some fancy little cakes of your own. This adorable box of 250 cupcake liners included! Now, go forth and BAKE!

A New Kind of Bedtime Story

Art is a big thing in our house. We go thru paper and staples like some people go thru toilet paper. My girls LOVE to write stories and make books. Each of the girls now has their very own 'published' book thanks to Tikatok. Log in, upload and voila... you have your very own hardcover. We have started a tradition of making one each year to mark their 'progress'. How fun will it be to look back in a few years and read these great stories?

I'm Bored...

Ok... first... you need to squint to see this picture. All the more reason to head over to her shop on ETSY. I have a small addiction to buying handmade goods and this is another seller not to be missed!

Check out this fabulous little ETSY shop. Home of this and many other cute chalk mats. My kids love chalk mats! We had one for each of the girls stashed away in the diaper bag at all times. Granted, we ate out a lot! I was happy not to cook and the kids were happy to color. When it's time for the food, just flip the mat over and you have an adorable little placemat. Why not grab a crayon roll while your shopping and throw a couple pieces of paper in your bag. You may get dessert!

ba, ba, ba, ba changes....

you may notice that all of my regular blog content is GONE. ahhh... it's on purpose. i plan on stopping my e-mail spamming ways and just post the cool shit i find on here.... the blog with no title. so... bookmark and enjoy. oh... and if you have any suggestions for a title drop me a note about that, too.

Bam! Pow! Ahhh!

What kid wouldn't love to eat with this at the dinner table? A fully posable action figure spoon. What more could a little boy ask for? Find it HERE in April.

I Resolve....

I was perusing one of my favorite sites looking for a gift for a little guy's birthday. I happened to come across these kick ass bracelets while looking.

Not only do they look cool, but they serve as a constant reminder to do good. It reads:

Humanity-Planet Peace- Live in Unity- Make a Difference- Accept Diversity- Speak Kindness- Receive a Hand- Pave the Path- Lead the Way- Sow Love- Accept Love- Make a Difference

Maybe I should see if they could add "Get birthday gifts sent in time" on mine. Hopefully little J won't mind his late gift. In the coming year I would like to get back to remembering things. Birthdays, cards, special occasions and showers just to name a few. I used to be so good at that. I don't know what has happened. While I'm at it I think I need to add getting more exercise to my list. Really... there is no excuse for this one. I miss my trainer, but I should be able to do it on my own. My heart needs this. I had better stop the resolutions there. No need to get carried away.

On another note: I am totally digging this little gem I found in my stocking this year.

I HATE having little gooey drippings of food all over my counters and stove. I know you can use a spoon 'rest', but then the gunk just piles up and turns hard. Gross. Plus, they come in colors and are cute. I have a green one, but am thinking of getting a couple more. It's especially helpful for me since I can't use the same utensils when cooking B's food. I can go about my cooking as brainlessly as I do other things. I think that's fabulous.

12.15.2008

Ooohhh.... the possibilities!

Can you imagine what you... or your kids.... can do with this fab blank board book? Found HERE!

Made for Me!

I posted some time ago about this company, Pretty Bitter, that designs the kind of stuff that was just made for me. Leave it to them, then, to make the perfect gift tag. Or better yet... this one.

Cutest Book EVER

You have to head over to Me & My Peeps not only because the name of their store is cute, but because you can make your little ones their VERY OWN BOARD BOOK! For real! OMG! I am making one for little B. He loves to look at himself in photos. Well... all our kids do. He will love it. I was thinking of even making one for Hubbs. I can see it now.... Hubby, Hubby... What do you see? I see a boobie staring at me. Hubby, Hubby... What do you see? I see a pussy staring at me. Perfect. But, I'm not sure they will make that for me. In any case... head on over there and make yourself a nice tasteful board book.

Ok... this is going on my Christmas list FOR SURE! First... you can totally customize the damn thing. CUTE! Although, I have to work on my photo choice. I love my mini DVD camcorder, but don't like lugging it around. Imagine just tossing this sucker in your bag. Fabulous! What's even better is that with it's built in USB you can upload and edit home movies on your computer without any extra wires to hook up or in my case... lose. Who's going to look like the super mom now? Yep... that's me.

11.13.2008

Ohhh.... Forget the Kids... I Want One!

Head on over to blynken & nod and you will fall in love with all things felt! The piece above is a custom order for a travel board. So cute! You can get a less expensive roll up version, though, that is just as cute! Ahhh... a quiet toy. Nothing beats quiet. Imagine the possibilities. Just convo her and she will whip up a custom order just for you! Get your orders in now, though. It's almost Christmas!!!

My new "vintage" apron. I am in love.... with an apron. I have wanted one of these vintage looking half aprons for so long. But... it was hard to justify since I rarely ever cooked. I'm sure I would've gotten funny looks wearing it to pick up my take-out. But, alas, I'm a cook. Even Hubbs is impressed with the amount of time I spend in the kitch. I actually get excited to try out new recipes. Strange, I know. So, I took my new found love of cooking and mixed it with the need to a cute apron and found BOOJIBOO You have to check out the aprons that she rocks out of her cute little Etsy shop. The half aprons are my favorite. I chose the strawberry number because the pattern looks more throw back than some of the others. LOVE IT! I will be using my apron this Halloween as well when I dress up as a 50's housewife. How cute!

Ooooooo.... American Eagle for Kids!

I am SO excited for the launch of American Eagles NEW kids line 77Kids! Their new kids line will be geared towards kids 2-10! That covers our spread. Look for the site to launch later this year.

Party Time.... Excellent... Favors!

I guess I'm a party pooper when it comes to kids parties. I am a milestone party girl. My kids get parties at 1, 5, 10, maybe 13, 16 and 21 if they are so inclined to hang with me that night. Yea, right. I just don't see the point of throwing parties every year. I think I have an aversion to all the crap the kids get. Some people really can't pick a gift. But when you do rock out the party you had better make it worth their while! Our little B didn't get a first birthday party. I flaked at the 11th hour. I got scared of kids and food.... and Epi-Pens being shot into his legs. Dramatic, yes, but at this point I was just learning to cook minus all the stuff he's allergic to. Now, baking.... that was another story. I guess I didn't want to "burden" our guests with allergy free cake. Moving on. Had the party gone on, all of our little guests would've left with these FAB.U.LOUS custom name crayons. I happen to think they are perfect for a 1st or 2nd birthday. They come all dressed up in a custom box or party favor box ready for a bow. You don't need anything else. READ: No plastic SHIT! Just cute crayons that kids can actually USE. Unless you are me. I probably would've pried them from their tiny hands to hold onto as a keep sake. Bad mommy! Anyway.... mosey on over to Storyblox and have a look. If no one has RSVP'd to the party, yet.... and don't get me started on THOSE jackasses.... you can still rock out a cute favor. They will do numbers, flowers, shells and even ducks! Now go forth.... AND PARTY! Oh... and did I mention that they are made from recycled crayons?

IsA What?

This is one of those "What the Fuck?" products. But, seriously, I'm intrigued. Many times I have found myself wanting and needing to wear a belt, but not wanting that giant lump under my shirt. Who knew someone actually made a product to help. Ok... looking a the picture you are probably thinking the belt is ugly. Well, no shit. You're not supposed to see it. I hate when my jeans sag around my crotch so I think I may actually buy one of these isABelts! Oh... and if you're one of those ass chicks who flashes their thong every time you pick up the kid. GET ONE, please. Do us all a favor!

9.21.2008

Say Cheese!

This shop is going on my list for Christmas. I think everyone I know has the same camera. I'd be able to find my fast with such an adorable strap. This little ETSY store has a ton of different ones to choose from. I'm having a hard time picking out a favorite!

Lend Me A Hand, Will Ya?

These "Hand" Soaps appeal to my wicked sense of humor. They really crack me up. I'd love to stick a bowlful of these in the guest bathroom. Someones libel to shit themselves. I showed them to Hubbs and he thinks they're funny, too. In a creepy way, he says. I don't care. I want them. If I could make one suggestion... a bunch of little hands giving the bird! You can get about 10 hands for around 20 bucks at the Vitamin D(sign) Shop.

Let's Talk!

I don't know why I don't own these, yet. I see them everywhere and think they are a fabulous idea. Frankly, I wish they were MY idea. Whatever. They are called Table Topics and they come grouped for families, girls night out and couples. What a great way to find out what's going on in those little heads at the dinner table!

9.20.2008

Put Me In Cuffs!

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE these cuff bracelets from Liliputians! I think these make a great, personalized gift. Hint-Hint, Hubbs. Since I already have a fabulous necklace with all the kiddos names on it, I think I would choose a favorite quote. Probably something that would just make me smile. I'd have to look into it. Anyway... my jewelry tastes are VERY simple. I don't really like flashy, but tend to stick with simple and classic. I think this fits my tastes perfectly.

I See London...

I was telling a girlfriend about these the other day and couldn't remember for the life of me where I found them. Alas! Found! And as they say at Francie Pants, "Show em London, Show em Francie Pants!" Much to my dismay my girls have no issues flashing their undies. Most of the time they come home from school and just disrobe. Really. But now that P and T are getting a bit older it's getting more and more important to keep them covered up. Sure.... you could just slap some shorts on under their skirts and dress, but then they'll look all lumpy butt. Plus, these are SO much cuter! Check out Franice Pants!
